Yes, they do still exist....

Erasure on tour in South America. Something that can't be missed by any serious music lover. Their Buenos Aires concert was immediately sold out so a second concert was quickly planned to accommodate all fans :)

Was a great evening and we had a lot of fun!

Iruya

Our final destination before heading back to Salta was Iruya. A small village that can only be reached via a 50km unpaved road full of hairpin curves. The views from the village were fantastic. We found out that probably the highest chute in South america was located in this little village: Anita gave it a try...

Salinas Grandes

On our way from San Antonio to Purmamarca we made a stop at the Salinas Grandes: more than 8000 square km of salt desert.
We drove the car on the salt, put on our sunglasses and went out for a walk...

Salta vacation

We just returned from a short vacation in the Salta and Jujuy provinces of Argentina, just south of Bolivia. We flew from Buenos Aires to the Province Capital Salta where we stayed the first night and rented a car. The next morning we drove to the a nice little village at the foot of the Andes called Cachi. From there we continued to a small old mining village called Sant Antonio de los Cobres located at 3800 meter above sea level. After that to Purmamarca from where we took a spectacular drive to the secluded village of Iruya. From there we drove back to Salta from where we had our return flight the next day.
